Tech Support Services

Our Tech Support Services Team at the Help Desk

The Help Desk is staffed by a skilled, friendly team rich in patience and humor. Our staff will work with you until we reach a resolution for whatever technical problem you are trying to solve. That way, you can get back to your main purpose — learning — quickly and efficiently.

The Help Desk is located on the second floor of the Library. Support is available by phone, email, or in person. The Help Desk is generally your first point of contact for any computer related question or problem.

Types of Support Available

Networking

The Help Desk will assist you with Internet connectivity, wireless access, email, and notebook configuration. If you're not sure what your computer problem is, we'll help you try and figure it out.

Lenovo Repair Center

The Help Desk is staffed by certified Lenovo technicians: necessary repairs on Landmark students notebooks purchased through the Landmark College Notebook Package can be performed in-house, with a quick (24-48 hour) turnaround time. Should a notebook purchased through the program need to be sent out for any reason, Help Desk staff can loan you a notebook, so you can get back to work immediately.

Email, Systems, and Software Support

The Help Desk supports students in basic troubleshooting of GroupWise email and other on-line resources on campus. Software supported by the Help Desk and Technology Learning Services staff ranges from MS Office products to voice recognition, text to speech, graphic design, and concept mapping.

In-depth Learning Opportunities

In the context of your current academic work, Landmark students learn skills and new approaches to using technology. Landmark's Technology Learning Services provides a variety of learning approaches for the software used on campus. Students can participate in ongoing groups, drop-in sessions, or make appointments for one-on-one learning. We'd love to teach you how to make the most of the tool you have at hand!
